Coldplay Live

I love Coldplay, they're my favorite band, but does Chris Martin have talent? As the lead singer in Coldplay, Chris sang Viva La Vida, a hugely popular song, but was his voice electroincally modified to sound better, because look at this life preformance. I saw many more, but I can't find the videos now....
Chris Martin can't even keep the same tune, or pitch of his own song!

Hmmph. I now like Coldplay a little less, but they're still great.

Many singers do not sound nearly as well live as they do recorded. Just think how many times he's able to try and get the pitch just right for the CD track...you sure don't get that chance live on stage. I'm sure the mixing has a lot to do with it also. It's been a long time since I heard someone sound just as good live as they did recorded.

I agree with Jasmyn. I don't really listen to Coldplay, so I'm not familiar with many of the songs. Although Sarah Gwaltney really can be great recorded and live!

Most singers are a little off live... I've often heard that they can't really hear themselves on stage.

I'd love to go a live concert. Everything seems so fresh and alive. I also love when singers do acoustic versions of their songs. The song sounds SO different.

Hello!

I think the reason why Chris Martin sucks in concert and sounds great on record is probably because when you're in a concert, you're more concentrated on your body and energy because that's what's most important in a rock concert. Obviously in a record studio what's more important is the quality of the songs. I love Coldplay though I agree that they're one of my favorite bands!
