A New Favourite Movie!

My mom made me watch another Indian movie yesterday, and I thought this would be another super cheesy romance movie. But it turns out that it wasn't. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge was a really cute family-fun romance movie that was released in 1995. And it's timeless.
Raj (Sharukh Khan) and Simran (Kajol) are two total opposites. Simran is to be married to someone she hasn't even met that her father has chosen for her, and asks for one moth from her father to go on a tour of Europe with her friends. Raj has happily failed college to his father's joy and also plans to go on the same tour of Europe with his friends. While shopping, Raj and Simran miss the train to the next stop and their stuck together, alone, in Europe. Raj proves to be joking and annoying and Simran, to be very stubborn. Without even knowing it, they fall in love with the most romantic scenes ^_^. At the airport, Raj says goodbye without looking back, unhappy about Simrain's marriage, and Simran's just confused. Raj, disheartened, goes home but, with the help of his best friend and supporter (his father) he leaves to Punjab (where Simran is to be married) and plans to not leave without his bride, and the only one he'll take is Simran.

It's such a sweeeeeeet love story. And Shahrukh Khan has those deep soulful eyes and that perfect, boyishly cute face. He's old now, but he's still cute!

This movie is a famed Bollywood classic and is still drawing in crowds today.

SO WATCH ITTT!! (with subtitles, of course!) ^_^

<3 Love this movie! Sharukh Khan and Kajol have natural and very real chemistry. I hope you've seen Kuch Kuch Hota Hai-it's a classic:)
Have you seen Om Shanti Om with Sharukh Khan? It's *really* good.

bollywood... I personally found thus one to be a bit contrived when I watched it a couple of years back.
